ALADDIN IN AGRABAH
News Item: A new poll of GOP voters reports a farcical result. Almost a third want to
bomb Agrabah, the fictitious city from the movie Aladdin.
Well you know, movies are a pretty good source of history you know. I've learned a
lot from them.
And geography too?
Of course. You find out a lot about places I might not ever go to ... you know, like
India and Japan and Vietnam -- all forest, mud and slush ... feel sorry for our boys
who had to fight there ...
And did you enjoy Aladdin?
Oh yeah! Saucy kid in that exotic place ... like to go there sometime. Just goes to
show I'm fair and not a bigot. Live and let live. That's what I've always said ... as long
as they continue to stay in their own places and not come here.
You mean in Agrabah and Ho Chi Minh city and ...

No, no, no. The other place. Agrabah was great, except for all I know ISIS is there
now. Didn't I hear it somewhere?
What would you say if I told you Agrabah didn't exist ...

No what I am saying is, it was just an imaginary place like, say, Shangri-la ...
Shangri-la? I've heard people go there for rest cures and great massages. Next
thing you'll be telling me there was no Aladdin or his lamp. You reporters are just full
