THE SNAIL AND CIVILIZATION
News Item: The poverty level in President Obama's home state of Illinois rises to
14.7 percent, the highest since 1960.
Imagine, one in six living in poverty in the greatest country in the world and you
humans think you are the most civilized.
Well, we are a complicated, advanced civilization ...
And you kill each other in untold numbers using horrendous weapons that also harm
other species ...
Well, we are a complicated, advanced civilization ...
As I was saying, one in six poverty stricken and thousands upon thousands homeless
with no shelter. With us at least everyone has a home ...
A masterpiece of design, one has to compliment you ...
And without a designer label you humans seem so obsessed with ... just to show you
spent a lot of money ...
It's a complicated, advanced, status conscious civilization ...
Some eating rich unhealthy foods, while others starve ...
Well, it's complicated -- the economics, the transportation ...
We are vegetarian -- simple fresh fruits and vegetables. You could be too ... and the
poor would be better fed ...
We evolved differently ... meat is high energy ...
Energy ... energy and pollution. Your waste is destroying the planet. I can taste it in
my food. Our waste products enrich the soil. So what is civilized, nurturing this earth,
or ...
I keep telling you, we are a complicated, advanced ...
Yes, I hear you, so let's cut to the chase -- we do not eat you ...
