THE WALL
News Item The government shutdown over funding for a wall across the Mexican
border sets a new record for length of time. The Democrats oppose it, and Speaker
Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority leader Senator Chuck Schumer have met with
Trump to negotiate.
Senator Schumer, why not fund the wall. It's only $5.7 billion in a $4 trillion budget.
That is not the point. I am against walls. My people are against walls ... have, been
since Moses told the Pharaoh, 'let my people go.'
Then the wall cordoning off Palestinians in Israel is just a temporary anomaly?
Probably, You'll have to ask them.
What about the wall around your house as Mr. Trump charges.
Ask the architect. It is part of the wholeness of design.
You mean it's part of the aesthetic ...
Exactly.
Speaker Pelosi, does that apply to the wall around your house also.
There is no wall around the House of Representatives. It's the people's House.
There is security but that's a sign of the times.
I am talking about your home as claimed by President Trump.
Oh that! Aesthetic of course, just like Chuck's. But that's just like this president. He
ducks the real issue.

It is a matter of statistics. Check 'em out. Say, why don't you gather statistics on the
number of cheeseburgers he has eaten. It might be a Guinness book record, and it
could explain a lot ...
