BLOWING IN THE WIND
News Item: American singer and song writer, Bob Dylan, won the Nobel Prize for
Literature.
Songwriting and poetry ... why, the lines intersect and intersect again ...
Oh, yes! When I think of Elvis' Hound Dog song ...
Oh yeah! What could be more metaphorical ... you know, if he had lived long
enough, he too would have had a Nobel.
That's the tragedy. All this talent and so many die young.
It's their sideline you know ...
What sideline?
Don't you know? Their medical research ...
What are you talking about?
Well, I'll tell you something . The Nobel committee takes their work seriously ...
What work? When they announced the prize, the whole audience gasped and then
burst into laughter ...
It probably embarrassed a super-sensitive artist like Dylan -- he won't talk about the
award.
Anyway, you were saying something about medical research ...
Yes, don't you know about their longitudinal studies on drugs?
Well, I never ...
I'll tell you what ... keep it to yourself though ... I have an inside ear on this ...
(whispers) Keith Richards and Mick Jagger are getting the Nobel Prize for Medicine ...
