News Item:  New this week of fossilized copulating turtles caught perhaps in a death
trap 50 million years ago as they sank into deeper layers of a lake, where they were
exposed to deadly volcanic gases and other toxins.

Funny thing about humans -- so curious, they are always digging and poking,
guessing, surmising ... and often guessing wrong.

Well, we turtles have been on earth for millions of years, seen all kinds of changes
and let it evolve.  Humans, such as they are, have only been around for 100,000
years and behave as if they own the planet, destroying it faster than all the other
species put together.

Well, it will be around -- different but still around -- and humans will be the ones to
disappear.  They make a mess of the earth, then their big chiefs don't bother to
participate in a meeting where they are searching for solutions -- can't look beyond
their long noses, can they?

They've made all kinds of myths about the place except that according to them,
turtles don't go to heaven.  I have a surprise for you humans:  guess again, Melissa
and I are in turtle heaven locked in an eternal embrace.
