POLYANDRIGAMY
News Item: The Supreme Court of the United States to hear a challenge to same-sex
marriage laws.
Polyandrigamy? What are you?
I am new word, a logo-nuevo, a new phenomenon, a specieal anomaly.
What is specieal?
Another new word relating to species.
Well, what do you represent?
I am a logo-hybrid and one day I, too, will be up before the Supreme Court.
When will that happen?
Oh, one day ... one day when someone marries a man and a woman.
You mean someone marries a person who is a man and a woman.
No, no. I mean someone who marries a person who is a man and a person who is a
woman without divorcing either.
Oh, I see. You mean polygamy.
Not quite. Polygamy occurs when a man marries more than one woman.
What happens when a woman marries more than one man?
Well, that's polyandry, practised, as far as I know, only in Tibet.
And you?
I happen when ...
I understand what you mean. You are a hybrid of polyandry and polygamy.
Exactly, and someone is going to do it and contest the bigamy laws.
All power to them. The states should not interfere in persons' lives if they do not
harm society ... victimless crimes. Freedom means responsibility and individual moral
policing, not the heavy hand of the state. How much money has been wasted on
drug wars and fighting prostitution, for example, and nothing has changed.
